November was pretty uneventful...Jeff finished our garage (insulation, drywall, texture and paint) and we got new doors, fun stuff, I know. We went to GJ for a long Thanksgiving week. Jeff worked a little, the kids rode my parents' neighbors' horses and went for a ride in some 'Big Red' trucks, courtesy of Halliburton. We spent Turkey Day at Mimi and Bubba's with G'ma Peg and Corky, Doug and Becky, Sayzo, the Steurer's, the Bradley Bunch (Katie and family were sick), and my parents! Great food, a little football in the yard and family fun!
December was filled with Holiday cheer! We visited Sanat at the Mall...you can see how that went over with lil' Havana (not that I should compare my kids but the twins never cried).
The twins were in their first Christmas program with their pre-school. Talk about chaos....but of course my kids melted my heart! Hudson and Hailey's class performed "Twinkle Twinkle Christmas Tree" and "Little Drummer Boy" complete with drums and tootsie pops! Nanny came over for the big show and Auntie Sharon joined us too!
Christmas Eve eve we went to Winter Wonder Lights at the Wildlife Experience Museum. It was cold and snowy but we had fun wandering thru the Holiday Trail, watching the Grinch Who Stole Christmas on the big screen with kettle corn and visiting Santa's real reindeer!
Christmas morning was full of presents and playtime. What more could we ask for! Nanny and Poppa came over for several days, it was a little different having such a low-key Christmas this year, we enjoyed it and missed all the GJ family at the same time!
We celebrated New Year's Eve in true Hime's fashion...in bed by 9:30! WoooHooo! We braved the cold, cold weather and wandered the mall for a little while, picked up some PF Chang's take-out, played with the kids and went to bed. Maybe we'll have better luck next year at making it to midnight, probably not!
